Monte
Monte works to highlight and give value to the female stories of Cuba and Galicia, which are ancestrally connected and rooted in respect for the land and for nature. They are intrinsically linked by the migratory phenomenon and are full of stories that truly deserve to be told.
Through dance, music, and the spoken word, we encounter a woman who could have lived through migration — both leaving and returning. A strong and wise woman, who knows all the secrets of the Monte and comes from the sea. She knows every herb, every legend, and every potion, and she maintains a deep connection with the land, with the drums, with the voice, and with the clave rhythm. Who is OWURO?
