Do outro lado

Do outro lado is a scenic research project on environmentalism, community, and its breakdown in rural areas, which involves collaboration with the Memoria y Cine collective and the theater company Mevadeus.

The quarry that opened in the Traspielas mountains is the symbol from which they delve into the consequences that this wound has from the most personal to the most global level, reflecting on the concept of inhabiting in a broad sense, using the body and audiovisuals as tools. On the other hand, it explores how capitalism infiltrates the peasant class, unraveling the community and its self-sufficiency to turn these individuals into producers and consumers in the market, inviting us to reflect on our way of inhabiting the world today.
