Gipuzkoako Dantzagunea was established in 2009 by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and initially had its headquarters at Arteleku. Since 2014, it has been located in the Niessen building in Errenteria. The Basque Cultural Plan considered the establishment of a House of Dance, a Dantzagune, as a primary line of work in the field of dance, serving as a resource center and reference for dance in each province.
Gipuzkoako Dantzagunea welcomes all types of dance, providing support services to associations, companies, and individuals engaged in dance practice: letting of dance studios, coordination with Gipuzkoa's network of venues, continuous training activities, advice, and promotion of calls and grants for the dance community.
Gipuzkoako Dantzagunea also collaborates with other dance and arts centers.
